My Chic Things

September 30, 2008

OK.  I totally slacked and was going to write something cool about My Chic Things.  But I just got on this computer, it’s midnight, drama is following me, I’ve got class all day tomorrow and I’m falling asleep sitting up.  Poor, poor, poor me.

So please check out My Chic Things for yourself.  There are goodies for everyone- especially mommy-type peoples.  I’ll let the site speak for itself. :)

TDF Costumes

September 29, 2008

Chasing Fireflies has some of the most awesome costumes!  If only I had enough influence over my kids to suggest what they should be for Halloween, I’d definitely pick one of these.

How could a history major like myself resist Marie Antoinette, the Greek Goddess, Queen Elizabeth,  or Cleopatra?  The Southern Belle costume vaguely reminds me of a prom dress I wore in the 80’s (that really should have been reserved for theatrical performances and never, ever worn in in real life, especially by me!). :)

If it came in my size, I would get that Little Bo Peep costume for me!  Isn’t it purdy?

I hope that you’re lucky enough to have a kidlet who cooperates with your fabulous costume choices, or one that is young enough not to care.  Sadly, I have neither, so it’s Hannah and Dorothy this October 31st for us.

What should I be?  Glenda the good witch or Hanna Montana’s older sister (LOL)?  My girls would probably tell you that I can be the Wicked Witch of the East and I won’t even need a costume.

Ariel Party

September 28, 2008

We had an Ariel birthday party for Piper’s 6th a couple of weeks ago.  It was a PJ party, but not a sleepover.  We had an Ariel cake and watched the new Ariel movie with popcorn.  The moms hung out in the kitchen.  It was fun!

I guess I’ve kinda turned my weekend posts into show and tell.  Hope it’s not boring you!

Piper’s Favorite Outfit Of The Week

September 27, 2008

Yeehaw! I love the Rocky Mountain line from Gymboree a couple of years ago.  I stockpiled size 6’s when it came out so she’d have it for kindergarten.  We’ve got practically everything Rocky Mountain ever made, and I’m still loving it.  The pink backpack shoulda been removed for the pic, but we were worried about missing the bus!  She’s also wearing the pony print Babylegs with it.  Cute!
