Giveaway! Fairies Just Wanna Have Fun!

March 31, 2008

My girls went to a really fun fairy birthday party this past weekend.  Their friend Rachel, who turns 5 today (happy birthday, Rachel!), is a hardcore fairy fan.  There were fairy makeovers, a face painter, wands, make-your-own fairy crowns, and of course, fairy nail polish.  Sheree (Rachel’s mom) went all out, as usual!

If you’d like to host your own fairy party, or maybe your little fairy would just love some of her own pixie paraphernalia, you have got to check out My Fancy Princess.  The selection of fairy dresses, wands and wings is enough to outfit an enchanted forest full of fairies.

Of course, every fairy needs a Pixie Pail to hold her treasures and pixie dust.

Naturally, fairies would never take their tea from any other vessel besides a Tulip Tea Set!  Get the matching tea pot too!

What do fairies do, when they’re not partying or guzzling tea from fancy cups?  They play with fairy lacing cards, of course, to develop their sewing skills.  Those fairy dresses do not make themselves, and unlike princesses, fairies do not delegate laborious chores to their forest animal friends.

One more thing about fairies: they love them some goodie bags.  Forget the goodie bags and you feel the wrath of pixie power, in the form of Pocket Magic Fairy Dust and a spell that will have you turned into a toad.

Of course, My Fancy Princess has lots more than just fairy stuff.  There are gifts fro princesses of all ages.  Use code pink for 10% off your purchase at My Fancy Princess!

Enchanted? I’m Sure!

March 29, 2008

Oh, how we love Enchanted.  We saw it in the theater when it first came out.  Ever since, we’ve been waiting with bated breath for it’s arrival on DVD.  The girls we soooo excited to get it last Tuesday when it finally became available for purchase.

Miss A loves the Central Park song and dance.  Miss P likes the beginning when the characters are cartoons in Andalaisia.  Me?  I love the pigeons, roaches, and rats who clean the apartment and the song Giselle sings while doing it.

The best part of all?  When Giselle turns from Disney Princess into strong modern woman and slays the dragon.  Go girl!
